I have seen a few ladies on here talk about Azoo. I was wondering what the outcome was when it came to the biopsy. Did they find sperm in yh or not? My husband and I are awaiting his biopsy and I am wondering what the outcomes are for you ladies that have had it done already.
Re: Azoo- Biopsy
They did not find sperm in our case, but that is because my DH has Sertoli Cell Syndrome. However, there are a number of azoo ladies dh's that have found sperm via the biopsy.
We have an azoo check in every Thursday that you are welcome to join.

DH - DX Azoospermia - Sertoli Cell Syndrome

Thank you for the invite! I will make it to the next one!! I usually post on the TTTC board and they recomended I come over here also!
My DH had a biopsy and they did find sperm! Our current urologist didn't really explain anything to us, so we now made an appointment with a Uro that specializes in male infertility. I would just make sure you have a list of questions ready when you get your results whichever the outcome is. I think for us we were so happy that there were sperm, that we couldn't think of what we should be asking.
Good Luck!!! I hope they find lots of swimmers!!!! T&P's to you and your DH. (((Hugs)))
Congratulations on your twins!!
Was it hard for your husband to accept having to use donor sperm? We spoke about it, but my h thinks that they will find it when they do these tesa. So we will discuss further after the procedure. Also, how was the recovery for him with this procedure?
what was his recovery after the mtese?
Yay for finding sperm. I hope we have the same outcome. The urologist we see specializes in it, but we are actually switching to a different one that specializes in male infertility that works close with my RE. If you don't mind me asking, what were some questions you asked? And thanks for the T&P's!!!
My thoughts are with you too!!
my DH's mTESE found no sperm and biopsy found some maturation arrest/sertoli cell sperm.
If your DH's b/w, genetic testing, u/s and testing has came back normal I would suggest moving straight to mTESE.
GL moving forward.

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

For his first mTESE he took a whole week off work and took it easy with an ice back. He also took the pain meds on schedule even if he didn't feel like they were really necessary. I think he did a 10 mile run about 3 weeks after (he wasn't supposed to run for 2 weeks).
For the 2nd mTESE he only took a few days off work (he was even up and around that day making his own lunch). I think it was harder (longer) for him to recover because he didn't take it easy as long and didn't ice as much. I think if he could do it over he would spend more time on the couch with the ice.
