when i left the hospital the Doc gave me a prescription for BC. i was wondering when i should start taking it. my 6 week check up is in about a week and as soon as i get the go ahead I'm ready for some lovin! should i start taking it now-ish??

    My OB said once I started taking my pills, I still needed to go a whole month with a backup contraception because there's no cycle to start your pill along with and you're essentially just starting it whenever.  You also have no idea when you ovulate and can get pregnant since it's 2 weeks before you get your first period back, so better safe than sorry.

    I started mine at 5 weeks pp per my OB's instructions. She said to use backup for the first 2 weeks only. We use condoms w/BC anyway so it wasn't an issue.
