RP: Birth control/bleeding ? (possibly TMI)

So....LO will be 11 weeks old tomorrow. Here's my story

I bled until about 5 weeks pp and then stopped for about 5 days....the it's back and has continued until now. I have light bleeding/spotting almost everyday! It's getting SUPER annoying! I'm on the depo shot and I'm due for my next shot next week. Just wondering if anyone has heard of the depo shot causing continues spotting?

Hoping you ladies have some expereince/advice with this.......I'm considering asking my doctor to switch me to a pill or something since I'm no longer breast feeding.

If you aren't opposed to it- and want a long lasting birthcontrol and arent planning for another LO right away, try mirena. It's the IUD. That way you arent dealing with high dose hormones- and if you change your mind about breastfeeding (which you can for up to 6weeks for your milk to come back) it doesnt effect it.

   I think bleeding is just going to be funny regardless at this stage- cause i spot irregularly too and it's annoying as hell. our bodies just went 10mo with no period- and traumatizing experience to our parts. so i think if it continues after you get your new BC, then talk to your doctor- but if it's just spotting i wouldnt be extremely worried unless it kicked up to heavy HEAVY bleeding.

I did a whole bunch of research because I had the exact same thing and I started freaking out cause some women apparently do have that issue of continuous spotting.  When did you get your shot? (I'm confused cause DD will be 4 mos before I go for my second shot.) I just stopped bleeding last week, so I think mine was actually due to some more pp bleeding than the shot. I'm still leery if I'll get the shot again in Nov, though, so we'll see how the next few weeks go.

BTW, a bunch of women on other b methods had similar issues on our July board.
