Ikea cribs and mattresses...

Does anyone have the Sniglar or any other Ikea crib and mattress? I'm wondering about firmness of mattress since I know the firmer the better and also about whether you noticed a gap btwn the mattress and the slats? I was reading about this gap online, pretty concerning.

    I have the foam mattress - the density was what Baby Bargains said to look for - but have it in a non-ikea crib with no gap.

    We have the Gulliver crib w/ the Colgate Classica I mattress.  No gap issues.  We didn't even try/consider the Ikea mattresses.

    We have the Ikea Gulliver crib, but got a Sealy (I think) mattress from BRU. Like the previous poster, we didn't even consider the mattresses from ikea.

    We have Ikea Gulliver (at our store it is on "last chance" alert so if you want it, now is the time, and it is rated really well in the baby bargains book).

    Not going to use Ikea mattress because they don't get good reviews. We are going with Naturepedic for the mattress unless I find a better option.
