I have a puj tub that fits in the bathroom sink. I use Mustela bath products (baby body/hair wash and infant shampoo if her scalp is scaly), baby wash cloth and my hands to wash her. I also bought one of those special bath cup thingies to rinse her but I don't "need" it.
I do use qtips to clean her ears (not the actual canal) because dead skin and icky stuff build up in her ears. I also used them in the beginning to clean her cord stump. I have never use cottonballs but I know some people do.
We got a little sponge thing that you put into the tub that we started using after DS's cord and cerc healed up. We use wash cloths and Baby Aveno body and shampoo.
I use the bathroom sink since it's a good size and comfortable height for me ( the kitchen sink is too high, I'm short). I use Grandma Els body wash and shampoo. I hold DS2 in the sink and use my hands to wash and pour warm water on him. Baths are pretty quick for now - a soapy soak and a rinse.
We put the sponge mat that came with our baby tub in the bathroom sink and bathe LO there or I'll take a bath with him and keep him on my thighs. We use California Baby baby wash.
ETA: We use baby washcloths (put a warm wet one on LO's belly to keep him/her warm during bath time) and I use a q-tip to clean out the crevices between LO's thighs and penis. Desitin tends to build up there and it's really hard to get it out, even with a washcloth or wipes.
We use a baby tub with an infant sling. I have it on the bathroom counter. The tub came with a "shower" thing that sprays clean water. LO loves it because i keeps him warm and it rinses off the soapy water. We use Aveeno baby, but I am going to switch to California baby after I run out.
We have a baby bath tub, I put it in the big tub.. but first I turn on the shower for about 5-10 minutes and shut the door, without the fan on! It gets the bathroom nice and steamy! I ALWAYS give the boys their baths at night since we have a routine & I use the nighttime wash & the nighttime lotion. I only clean out their ears once a week.
They get a bath every other night, I dont want their skin to dry out!
i was sponge bathing using a wash cloth, but now she's taking water baths. i figured out a system that works for her without screaming. i have one of those eurobaths that has a recliner for newborns. i put a towel on that, lay her in it. i sit on the edge of the bath tub, and pour warm water in the tub. i use a little cup to pour water on her body, then wash her using wash cloth and baby shampoo. i shampoo her head by leaning her head back and pour water on her. i put the boucer in the bathroom with her towel on it after she's done with her bath, i pick her up and put her on the bouncer and dry her up. i have a tiiiiny bathroom so makes things a little more difficult during bath time.
