WHOOOO Formula!

So...DS has been on the Nestle Good Start formula (concentrate) since he was 6 days old; we're happy with hit, he's happy with it, life is good.

A few weeks ago, one of DH's friends asked what kind of formula DS was on (I thought this was kind of weird for man to man conversation...but whatever). Anyhow, DH let him know.

Well...last night we all got together as a big group and DH's friend hands over TWELVE cans of the Good Start powder!!!! Yup...you heard right...TWELVE cans! It's the powdered form, and they are the medium size cans, not the big, huge ones...but we just got handed TWELVE cans of FREE formula! As it turns out, buddy's dad is a pediatrician (also nice and which I didn't know) and he brought home the cans that they hand out as samples in their office to us...

So...while the powder is a bit more labor intensive, DS seems fine with the concentrate to powder switch...cuz THIS momma wasn't going to give up 2 months (or more) worth or free food!

  • Awesome!

We use both powder and RTF.  We use the powder when we are out and about.  It is so much easier to deal with.  No cooler or heating up needed.

  • We switched from concentrate to powder last night. All is well in our house.... so far. Dr. Brown's formula pitcher is great at mixing the powder. No clumps! We bought 2 --- for obvious reasons we go through more formula. Awesome that you got 12 cans free!
