::butting in:: LO is obviously not 9 weeks yet (2 weeks tomorrow) but I, myself, was born with two teeth in my mouth, so I don't see why not! I don't know if this helps but then again, like I said, I'm just butting in.
Lucas is 11 weeks and does the same thing, and even had an elevated temp after his cold was gone. I just bought him some teething rings so he stops chomping on his hands so much.
My Dexter is 10 weeks today and just over the past week he has figured out that if we play with toys and they're near his mouth, or if he can get his sleeve to reach, he's mouthing it. I assumed it was just him being an infant and exploring the world by chewing everything he can get his hands on.

my LO is a drooly bubble face and he likes to chew on his right hand, so i think it's just the age of discovery. I think you'd know if they were teething... e.g... screaming and fussing. but if theyre just a drooly curious one then i wouldnt assume teething quite yet.
LO is at the exact same age and doing the same thing. The public health nurse told us that it was from teething, but not to expect real teeth for a while. Just the little buds getting ready to form. I had never heard of anyone else mentioning it, so don't know if it's true or not.
Our LO is 9.5 weeks and doing exactly the same thing! She tries to chew anything near her mouth, licks our shirts and skin when holding her close, chews on her hands, drools constantly and makes spit bubbles. I've heard it could be from either teeth forming, or just that it's the age they are at and since they are just figuring out their mouth is exciting and things can go in it, they become fixated. Good to know it's a regular thing.
My DD is doing the same thing. I asked the pedi at her 2 month checkup. He said he felt 3 teeth buds on her lower gums. He said it was normal for babies to start forming their teeth buds and with that start drooling alot and chewing on things. He did tell me it would be a while before her actual teeth came in. His prediction was not before her 4 month appt. So we have a while
