You never know just what my lovelies will say but these are my 2 favorite quotes:
1) "She's in labor!" (screamed by a female student after I said "Ouch" from being kicked up by my ribs)
2) "I watched The Miracle of Birth in health class. I can help if you go into labor." (said by a male student on the first day of classes)
I can only imagine there will be more before my leave starts at winter break.
Re: Tales from my 8th grade classes
Oh boy! The youngest student I had w/ a child was in 7th grade. I could not imagine.
That is hilarious!!! Good to know that you have at least one student you can count on "just in case"...lol...Funny...I think I would die of laughter if anyone said that to me...
I teach as well..but at an elementary school..so its totally different...I get some funny comments, like yesterday a second grader was walking by and said..."What happened to your stomach? Its HUGE!!!" Ummm...thanks kid...lol...
Good luck! With teaching, every day is an adventure!
My middle school kids have been super into the pregnancy and they're learning quite a bit too such as pregnant women are crazy during my day long weepy session yesterday
My students are happy that I am FINALLY pregnant. Last year at the ripe old age of 26 one of my angels told me I "could always adopt" after my response to her question "why don't you have a baby" was "someday".
Another asked what size does it wear so she could buy him an outfit.
This is what my high school students do. I don't have any girls with their own babies right now, we'll see what next semester brings.
