Really rough night

So after a really rough day of trying to get DS napping in his crib, I had a really rough night.  DH was working so I was alone and DS went down great at 7PM (didn't need paci, put himself to sleep).  But instead of waking up only twice which he has been doing for about a week, he woke up 3 times, and at the 4:20 feeding he didnt fall back asleep.  he was "fussy" crying, not a full out cry and chewing on his hands.  I woould let him be until it became a full cry and go in and give him teh paci.  At one point I took him out and fed him again.  He would fall asleep for 5 mins and wake up crying hard.  Finally at 6:15 he fell asleep as I held teh paci in his mouth.  But he only slept for 30 mins and woke up screaming again which is not like him, he never wakes up crying.  Any ideas on what it can be?  He is going to teh bathroom fine and I dont think its gas.  Can it be because I am trying to get him nap in there am I screwing up nightime sleep?  It was going well before that.  Please I need some ideas!

Re: Really rough night

  • If it's any consolation, my LO did something like this a few days ago. It was awful, and lasted a few days, but last night she slept for 9 1/2 hrs straight - so maybe it's just an early 2 month thing? Hope it gets better for you!

  • I've been going through the same thing with my little one. She used to be such a good sleeper, now she is constantly fussy. Possibly overtired? I just hope it passes soon!!
