I went to an event with my other pregnant friend yesterday that was like a huge warehouse consignment store.
I got:
a baby bjorn: $7
a clean diner highchair cover: $6
Happiest Baby on the Block: $2
small activity table: $6
car mirror for car seat: $4
So happy with my bargains! I gotta admit though, I couldn't buy clothes. Something really skeeves me out about buying consignment clothes. I know it's psychological. I'm getting the baby bjorn dry cleaned though!

Re: Great deals at a consignment event...
What?! I'm so jealous!!
Ginny DX 21-Hydroxylase Deficiency Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia
Charlie DX Specific Antibody Deficiency & ASD
I KNOW! I didn't register for one because they seem so expensive for NO REASON. So I'm glad I found this one. It's the real brand, and the same kind as the one my friend got just last year. It's a little faded, but whatever!
I'm also jealous of your cheap Baby Bjorn -- I got mine at a consignment sale, too... but I paid $45 for mine! I thought that was such a great deal at the time (50% off...)
Uh yes, I am totally jealous too!! I got mine for $40, granted it was brand new in the package, but I would buy a used one for $7.
Can't you just wash it instead of dry cleaning? I bet you it would work. Don't dry it, obviously. But I have washed backpacks that are of similar construction (padding etc.) and they were fine. If not, I would try to go to a Green dry-cleaner that only uses liquid carbon dioxide or silicone "beads" to clean. It works just as well. The PERT in dry cleaning is so nasty and toxic, I would not put that anywhere near my baby.
