Does anyone else feel "weird" or "off"?

I was wondering if anyone else felt weird or off or semi-dizzy/lightheaded? I have felt this way for a few days, I was hoping that it was due to being dehydrated (drank more liquids, it didn't help) or low blood sugar (ate, it didn't help).  I'm also worried that I may get GD because I was pre-diabetic before I got pregnant.  I had BW done last week and haven't heard anything from the dr so I assume everything was ok or they would have called.  Or perhaps this is all normal and I'm just freaking myself out.  If anyone has any thoughts/ideas/tips I would be very appreciative.  I just don't like feeling abnormal.

  • I do know your blood volume starts to increase during weeks 6-8 and can cause you to feel dizzy or lightheaded.  This may be what you're feeling, if you've had plenty of water and are eating regularly.  But if you're really worried you might want to call your doc.

  • Thanks, I read this too, I'm hoping that this is what it is.  I plan on calling my OB tomorrow to ask.  Thank you again.

I have 2 fire bellies that I have had for 8 years now and I have no idea how old they were when I bought them. They are so cool to watch.

Sorry you are feeling this way too...it stinks!

That is awesome! DH and I have always wanted a newt but we haven't been able to find one and when we do find one there is one reason or another why we can't get one right then.  It just never seems to work out for us.  We are also calling our baby a "newt" because we think that the baby sorta looks like one at a certain point on the u/s.

That's quite alright! We love newts and it just so happens that we call the baby a newt.  No apology necessary! Smile

  • I actually went to my GP because I felt 'off'... that's how I found out I was preggers... the only other thing I might add is that my blood pressure is up from my baseline. I've only had high blood pressure one other time in my life and I felt dizzy and lightheaded, so I had a nurse check my blood pressure and it was slightly high, so I made an appointment with my doctor and she did bloodwork... sure enough, came back positive!
  • Yeah. I haven't had too much nausea, but I definitely feel shaky and lightheaded a lot. I find I can't stand for very long without feeling woozy. It's worst when I'm hungry.

  • feeling "off" is what made me poas :)  i do feel a bit better now, but up until about 9 weeks or so, i felt dizzy, and just generally off every day.  it didn't help that it was pretty hot here for a while.  just try to rest as much as possible, eat when you need to, and drink water.
