Non-Clicky Poll - Halloween Costumes

A friend of mine is having a halloween party at her house....a costume halloween party.  DH has not had a halloween weekend off in years, so as of right now we are planning on going.

If you are doing somthing for halloween:

Are you dressing up?

If so, as what?

I need some creative ideas for costumes while keeping it appropriate for my co-workers to see me.  :)  Thanks!

Re: Non-Clicky Poll - Halloween Costumes

  • I'm going to be a "playboy bunny whose seen better days", big ol' belly, bent bunny ears, torn fishnets, empty beer can...  I figure, how often are you 8 months pregnant at Halloween, definitely have to play this up!

  • I know this will be lame but we got invited to a "family Halloween party" where everyone is supposed to dress up and match.

I think we're going as hipsters, think Nicole Richie and Joel Madden and we'll dress our son up in a "mini-hipster" outfit. I'm pretty sure that's the only way I could convince my hubs to come along.

I thought about being a carebear and wearing a shirt with an ironed-on applique or something.

    I LOVE this idea!

  • I think we decided on 50s housewive and milkman.  Pretty easy since I'm just wearing a dress and apron.  I just have to find MH some white pants somewhere.

  • I really wanted to go as Juno and Paulie Bleeker but I couldn't talk my H into wearing the short track shorts that Paulie wears throughout the whole movie!

Sooo, I decided to just wear an orange shirt with a pumpkin face on the front!

  • I'm not doing a pregnant lady idea...I just can't get into any of the costume ideas for it, so I'm just going as a witch. Short cape, hat, probably orange shirt with a pumpkin face belly, and easy easy. I usually go all out...last year I was a burlesque circus girl...so fun, but lots of work.

  • There is a great iron on decal on ebay for sale.  You iron it on a black shirt and it has the skeleton of you and one of the baby in your belly.  It is super cute, wearing a t-shirt is obviously comfortable and still contributes to the Halloween theme!
  • We're not dressing up this year. I have an orange shirt that I'll wear. I might get creative and add felt piece to it to make it look like a pumpkin.

  • When I was PG with DD I went as a bowling ball, I just bought this black t-shirt that had a pink bowling ball on it and wore black pants.  I was comfy, but still sort of festive.  DH went as a bowler.

This year we'll be taking DD trick or treating, she's going to be a piggy, so I'm going as the two other little pigs by pinning a pig mask to a pink shirt right on my tummy, and wearing a pig mask myself.  DH will be the big bad wolf. :)

  • We are having a halloween party at work and my row is doing a crime scene theme. I am going to be the Medical Examiner in scrubs with fake blood all over me. I wanted something comfy for the day, so I was psyched to be able to wear scrubs! I got a set on ebay for under $20.

  • I am painting a box like a brick wall and wearing it around my low waist. I am painting my belly white and making it look like Humpty dumpty. Then attaching leggins and shoes that hang over the brick wall. Everything else I wear will be black. Lame I know but why not?
  • My shower is actually on halloween. I am not dressing up though.
