He has been sneezing and coughing and when he breathes i can hear the phlegm. i know he is too young to cough it out so ive been trying to suck it out with the aspirator but i dont think its working well.anymore suggestions of things i can do to help him?

Have you tried using a humidifier in the room where he sleeps?

If he is coughing you should call your pediatrician.

I'm waiting for a call back. ive been in the bathrrom with steam bc we dont have a humidifier.may send his father out for one

Saline drops help too.

I'm in the same boat. he coughs some and sneezes every now and then, but really it is just the phlem and he struggles with breathing.

I do the drops and suction thing several times a day, when ever he needs it. I keep him up right. and I do the shower steam thing before bed.

DD has a similar problem. The pedi recommended we run a humidifier in her room and use saline drops for her nose and bulb syringe for phlem. Make sure to call the pedi ASAP if they're running a fever. Hope your LO feels better soon!
