worried. PLEASE HELP

Im really worried right now. I dont know what to think. Cramping in my abdomen woke me up out of my sleep. never happened before except in early labor with my daughter. besides the cramping, im now feeling really sick to my stomach. Im only 33 weeks and 1 day pregnant. If i am in labor and possibly deliver my son within the next day, how long will he need to stay in the hospital for? As of 2 days ago my little guy approximately weighed 3lbs 15 oz. Anyone with any help and thoughts would be very much appreciated

Re: worried. PLEASE HELP

  • Go in and get checked out ASAP! Babies at 33 weeks generally do quite well, but obviously you'd want to keep them in there cookin as long as you can. Labor can be stopped quite often. So if you're feeling this way. Please go in and get checked.

  • Call your doctor and get checked out.  There is a lot they can do if you are going into labor.  Don't wait.

Yeah, I wouldn't even worry about outcomes right now, just go to the hospital. GL!

  • I'm a little late but really hoping that you went in last night.  Depending on where in your abdomen you are cramping, it can signal different things.  I thought I had heartburn and it was actually my liver expanding because of HELPP syndrome complications.  You cannot be too cautious and if you think something is wrong, it is probably your maternal instincts kicking in. Wink

As far as your other questions - I don't know that anyone can really tell you how long he would be in or what complications he would face.  If he is already 3lbs 15oz though, he sounds like he is relatively healthy in weight and should have a very good chance as long as you get checked out as quickly as possible.  They are much stronger than we think.  You are much stronger than you think. Try to relax!  T & P that you and your son are healthy.
