Movement HURTS

Ouch! This kid doesn't kick, practically ever, but she slides around and squashes up on one side and wiggles and turns and twists and I swear it feels like she's using the umbilical cord as a tire swing. Ack! I always pictured a big water balloon full of water and a baby happily floating around. I did not anticipate her feeling like an alien monster trapped under my skin.

Don't get me wrong, I love that she moves and find it very reassuring (and spaz a bit when she stops for too long), but it's really uncomfortable and sometimes painful and I'm scared of how much more intense it's going to get. Anyone with me, here?

Re: Movement HURTS

  • YES! DS2 moves and it feels like someone digging a knuckle all the way across my belly- HARD! And sometimes it feels bruised where he sticks a part out!!

I remember with DS1 toward the end it made me physically sick/ nauseous at the end when he'd move. He was really big and I am pretty small!!

  • Yes! I love to feel him move but man, some of the places he squeezes into, like up near my ribs, just hurt.

I always giggle a little bit to when I lay on my left side and it feels like he is trying to bust out of there, it tickles a bit. :) I am very ticklish though!

  • This baby is facing outwards, so any movement like that is not only painful but VERY visible. It is so much like the movie Alien that it creeps me out!

  • oh GOODNESS, I hear ya! It stopped being so "cute" just this past week, and has started to REALLY be painful! Especially because her head is down in my pelvis now (confirmed by the doc today, but I could already feel that myself!) and her feet are up in the perfect spot for great rib kicks!

I do love feeling her move, but now my favorite movements are feeling her hiccups! I've only felt it twice, but it's the cutest thing, and DOESN'T HURT!
