If you had stitches...

I had a pretty crazy 3rd degree tear, so I obviously got some stitches. At my 6 week pp checkup the doctor said one of my stitches wasn't healed yet, and it would probably take a couple more weeks. I didn't have to schedule a follow-up, she told me I could just use a mirror and check down there to see if the stitch was gone. Well, it's been 8 weeks now, so I grabbed my mirror, and I have no idea what I'm looking for. I have a general idea of where the stitch was, but I didn't think to have her show me while I was at my appointment. I'd like it to be healed before DH and I attempt sex, but if I can't tell, I may just have to go for it. Did anyone look for their own stitches? Would it be really easy to see if it was still there? TIA

Mine where easy to see, but if you tore, you may have internal ones too. When mine disolved I have the knot and a couple pieces of the thread come off on a piece of toliet paper when I went potty one day.

I just had two small tears, but I couldn't find the stitches at all. I even had my fiance look and he couldn't see them either. They must have been hidden.

Mine were super obvious with three or four x's.  You may want to have your husband take a look.

i had 3rd degree tearing too. my stitches ended up tearing
