Soo, my DS will not nap unless he is on his tummy. I have tried to rock him to sleep and then put him down, but as soon as he hits the crib he is awake and unhappy. I've let him try to fuss on his back but that doesn't help either. If I put him on his tummy, he will put himself to sleep and nap longer as well and be much happier through the day.
I even tried to use a positioner and put him on his side today to try and transition but that was not happening either.
DS is 5-1/2 weeks old and takes all naps etc swaddled. He has NO PROBLEM sleeping on his back at night time.
I asked our pedi since he is a close friend of ours about this, and he said DS should be fine to nap this way since he can pick his head up and turn it from side to side while sleeping.
DS naps and sleeps at night in his bassinett and I'd like to keep it that way rather than napping in swing etc.
Any advice on how to break this habit? Or should I let it go?

Re: Help!!! napping
I usually rock DD holding her on my chest after eating, she falls asleep that way. Then I will put her wherever I want her to sleep. I do let her nap in her PnP or her Glider, for some reason she wont nap in her bassinet. As long as she sleeps, I dont care where it is at this point!
