I apologize if this has been asked before, but I am feeling that clothes are an unnecessary part of a registry. Don't people just get what they think is cute anyway? But I also don't want my child to be naked, lol. What did you do?
I don't. I find it highly unnecessary. Packs of plain socks/onesies are fine, but outfits? No.
When I registry shop, I am not picking through 45 racks to find the exact outfit you said you wanted. If I feel like buying an outfit, it will be one that I find cute. If you're lucky, I'll give you a gift receipt. But probably not, because I'll forget.

This...it seems like such a PITA for people shopping. If they want to get me an outfit they can pick something out. Otherwise I will have plenty of time between the shower and baby to pick up a few things. I figure he just doesn't need that much in the clothing department for the first few weeks anyhow.
Other than onesies, I did a few cute gender neutral outfits. I figured I'll end up with what people want to buy me anyways, but I hope that not putting clothes on my list will deter them from buying any, since we don't know what LO will be yet. Alas, I'm sure I'll just end up with a bunch of yellow clothes. Oh well.
I do, but its because DH REALLY wanted to and went nutso with the registry gun. I don't have the heart to take them off because he was so excited and it was so cute.

totally, I have a few white long sleeved onesies, kimono tops and that's it
I only put onesies, socks, a few sleepers and a bunting suit on the registry. I know I will get a lot from people anyways and they will just pick out what they like.
I only put a fleece suit (I think it's called a pram) because I don't think that people will necessarily think about outerwear. I didn't include anything else because: (1) chances are that the clothes I register for in one strore are not available in another; (2) I think it's more of a hassle for people to search for a particular item of clothing rather than for bottles, PNPs, etc; and, (3) people will buy you what they think is cute. Oh, and I also think that clothes is something that you can easily buy after the baby shower so I don't fear my son being naked.
since I am having a girl I have kept it a secret from most people as when people know that bit all they get you is clothing!
I have a couple generic clothing items on there but we are seriously talking like 4 items. Clothing is so inexpensive that I am really hoping that people get me "stuff" instead.
I put basics- packs of onesies and pants. But I did them in larger sizes, mostly to maybe remind people that my child will not be 0-3 months forever. I could care less if I get those clothes, but I would love to start getting some more stuff that is 3-6 months and beyond.
Well i definitely do not fear my daughter going naked!! I have way to many clothes for her already. We are asking that if anyone buys us clothes to buy them bigger than 3 months because we literally have so many 0-3mo clothes she will prob never wear them all.
On my registry the only clothes i have listed are a few outfits i really really liked! And i only did that because i had a family member who lives out of state ask me to pick out a few clothes i liked so she could see what my taste was! LOL (and this was for an online registry, something i knew she could find where she was,if not she could buy it online!!) And they are like sweaters and jackets, stuff i don't have alot of.
I was kinda surprised at how few generic gender-neutral options there were. I registered for a couple packages of cotton hats, mittens & socks that were in greens & yellows and didn't realize it until way later that they all had flowers on them. If the kid is a boy we'll just flip them around, heh. I registered for a couple packs of onesies, some generic bibs and a few sleep sacks, too.
I put a few things on there, but nothing not outfits. When I was doing my registery, this lady shared with me that those items may not be available when people go shopping. I always figured that most people will just get what they want her to wear anyways.
I just put the fleece and cotton sleep sacks on there, because I don't know if people will really think about those. Oh, and I tried putting mittens on mine but BRU kept making them hot pink girls ones instead, so I took them off, lol.
For this child I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him.

same here, people always end up buying whatever they want anyway when it comes to outfits so why bother

Nope. I only put onesies and gowns. I have a lot of 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes and I figured people will buy what they like anyway.
