Your WTF Wednesday Post

Thought we could use a WTF Wednesday post!

I'll start:

WTF dog with never ending diarrhea?  It's kinda difficult to clean up all your poo with a crying baby!  And WTF DH for giving the dog new bones that caused the diarrhea and then not being home to clean it up!

WTF is up with everyone thinking their baby has reflux?  I swear half the posts on this board are "does this sound like reflux?" or "could my baby have reflux?"

Babies are fussy, babies cry, and babies spit up.  Unless your child has silent reflux (which according to my Pediatrician isn't very common) you will know if something is up.

I just feel like so many posters think something is wrong b/c their baby isn't perfectly quiet and content 24/7 and I think it is f'd up that so many want a diagnosis or meds when there probably isn't problem.

That was more like a confession but oh well.

Wow, I totally agree.  I think kids are WAY over medicated and I'm a pharmacist, I give out drugs for a living.

LOL at the AR posts.  DS has it, was very obvious to me without consulting The Bump.  It only took the pedi 2 minutes to agree while I fed him after our 1 month appt.

But, in general, WTF with the 0-3 board in general?  Maybe it's because I've been on here for a while, but the same questions/issues come up every.  single.  day.

 

Yeah there was no denying that K had severe reflux...

And I agree - this board is a snooze fest.

I totally agree about the AR posts. DS has it and it was obvious - projectile vomit after feeds, arching back, screaming when we lay him down. All babies cry/fuss, most don't have AR.

Actually, reflux occurs in about half of infants between birth and 3 months, the thing is, most cases aren't severe enough to medicate. Spitting up a lot and even gagging has more to do with their under developed digestive systems.

We waited to see if Kylah's digestive issues would get better before we visited with a Pediatric GI doc - she was still gaining weight and it is getting better so I don't feel like a specialist visit is needed. I don't like the idea of jumping the gun on medicating my infant either

And, oops, I don't have a WTF for today yet....maybe later!

WTF is up with people being baby hogs?  Everyone has that friend that snatches up your baby when in a group setting and doesn't want anyone else to hold them. 

WhyTF do they think they can determine who holds/ cuddles/ loves on my child?

WTF, why do my friends insist on calling me at 7am every single day? I know I'm usually up anyway b/c I have an infant, but it doesn't mean I want to talk to your a$$ about absolutely.nothing (Sorry, that was mean - but I'm not a phone person!)

WTF is the deal with my kids hands smelling like Cheetos? I know I did a post about this already but it is totally freaking me out. It does not matter what or how often I was his hands with... They still stink. I wonder if they would if I had a girl? I am convinced he is already just a stinky boy

DS's hands stink too. I think it's just from shoving them in his mouth after eating and stuff.

WTF is up with me spraining my ankle last night? It totally blows and I've been stuck on the couch with LO all day. I hardly ever hurt myself, I feel so dumb for rolling my ankle like that...
