Im sure these questions have been asked a zillion times but im gonna ask them again anyways.
I called my OB today about my cycles because im just not satisfied with the "lazy ovaries" answer. I told her that I wanted to try another route. I asked about clomid. She said I'lll have to go in for blood work tomorrow before she can give it to me, which is fine. She also said something about if I happen to ovulate on the weekends beacuse they aren't open to do an ultrasound.
So my questions are: What blood work should I except tomorrow? And why do they need to do an u/s when I ovulate?
Thanks girls!
Re: Clomid users come in
I'm not sure what type of b/w your doctor wants to do before giving you Clomid. I had CD3 testing done as part of a basic IF workup (tests for FSH, LH, estradiol) but I don't think this was related to Clomid use.
They probably want to do u/s to do a follicle check--make sure your ovaries are being properly stimulated by the Clomid. If not, they may want to up your dose. They also want to make sure you are not overstimulated so you don't get pregnant with high order multiples. GL!
