Q. for those in Miami

Me and Dh are planning on going on a vacation in that area with our ds.  Our parents may end up coming as well.  The reason we're going there is so we can see the Coral Castle that's in a nearby town.  

I heard that most beaches in Miami are topless, are their any that are more family oriented and not topless?   I ask because we'd like to go to the beach, but I guess I'd feel pretty awkward going to a topless beach w/my dad and FIL, despite the fact that we'd all be wearing bathing suits, plus I don't think my MIL would approve of going at all.

Not sure where the rumor got started, but the majority of the beaches (99.9%) are NOT topless.  You shouldn't have any problem going to a "regular" beach.  Enjoy the trip.

Ditto, Jackie.  I know of only 2 nude beaches in Miami but  they're not easy to stumble upon.  The normal beaches are just like anywhere else.  That's funny though   Have fun!!

Just to clear things up, the topless and n*de areas you speak of are not what makes up south beach, etc. The southern most point of south beach, aka the pier area from 1st -4th street I believe, is the topless section. If you go anywhere else, you wouldn't even know it exists. Now as for the n*de beach, its in a private section of Haulover Beach. Located in North Miami Beach, Sunny Isles area. Keep in mind it is not the whole beach either. You have a specific parking area that leads you into the North end, which will clearly lead you right to it.

Coral Castle is in the Homstead area....it's about 15 minutes from my house. The girls are right there's not a whole lot of nude bathing down here. Since you are going to be that far south you may want to take an extra 30-60 minutes farther south on US-1 and hit Key Largo and Islamorada. There are state parks down there with beaches and some really nice restaurants on the water.

We're not sure when we're going.  It'll be a last minute thing when DH gets laid off.  (He's in construction)  Thank you for the coupon!   And I guess my source has their info wrong!  Glad to know its not all topless!
