"have you found a pediatrician?"

that is what my Dr. said to me at today's appointment!  I looked at her like a deer in the headlights-- I KNOW there is a baby in there- but it is so crazy to think that after all these years I need to find a doctor to care for my child!!  What!! 

The appointment was about 5 minutes- everything is on track and baby is measuring perfet. We got to hear the heartbeat again- which I love.  And I go back in 2 weeks since they want to monitor my blood sugars due to gestational diabetes.  But I will pat myself on the back that I am able to control it at this point by watching my diet!

We haven't started looking yet.  I am too overwhelmed right now, and will probably start out with whomever my OB recommends since I trust her so much!

We haven't even thought about a pediatrician yet.  There's only one in the town where we live, plus two or three family doctors who would treat LO.  We may wait and see whether we like the on-call pedi at the hospital when LO is born, or if we like the one who's coming to our childbirth class to speak to us in a couple of weeks.  I'm honestly not all that worried about it right now... although maybe I should be...

We haven't even thought about that yet.  I will probably ask around at work and also get a recommendation from my OB.  Who knew this is something I should start thinking about right now.  Time is flying by and baby will be here before we know it.

I've found a pedi. I am using who my sister and one of my bff's use. They both adore him and I have met him and like him too.

I started researching pedi's a month or so ago, and setup an ''interview'' with one. I met with her several weeks ago and we loved her. So we have our pedi picked out!!

I have a list of names that are local (meaning only 2 towns away, LOL, gotta love country livin') and that my insurance covers.  One of them I have a recommendation from a friend on him.  I haven't called any or set up any consultations, but that's what I have so far.  In about 6-8 weeks (after harvest) I'll start worrying about meeting them.
