TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

What color should I paint my fence?

It's past time to get our fence painted.  I will only be painting the posts actually.  Any suggestions for colors.  Here are a couple of pics.  It's hard to see, the the trim on the house is a grey/blue.  We are redoing our front porch, which you can see in the bottom pic and it will have a red brick base with a concrete top.

  • It's hard to see the fence...is it chain link?

Look under the grapevine.  It's wire, not chain link.

  • Your house is so cute!!

I would try to match the trim of the house.

  • Love your house, what about red to match the patio?

  • Without really seeing it in person I'd say you've got a couple options:

    1. paint to match the trim of the house (might be better since it's darker and wouldn't require as much up-keep).
    2. paint to match main color of the house (more obviously "goes" with the house. Up-keep will be worse since it's lighter and will show chips/dirt more quickly but since it's only the posts it might not be too much).
    3. Stain it (can't tell but if it's a nice, quality wood I think it might be very pretty to just bring out the natural wood beauty... especially with all the ivy/grape leaves? around it).
    4. Red to match the brink (probably my least favorite option but if the fence runs right up to the deck it might work).
