Help me find some jeans for my kid...

I cannot for the life of me find jeans that fit Holly right now. I prefer ones that don't have a zipper/fly or functioning button or snap (are just stretchy and have a "mock" fly). The ones I've found just don't fit--the 18 mo ones are good on length, but are too tight around the waist & butt. The 24 mo ones fit around the waist but are laughably long.

I guess I might have to hem some. But I thought I'd check first and see if anyone knew anyone who carries shorter jeans that fit my no zipper requirement. Ideas?

  • If you find a place that carries them and they carry boys too let me know, we are having the same problem with Dennis. 12mo are too short, 18mo fall off bc they are too big in the waist!

  • I will tell u that even with ones that dont meet your requirements its hard to find jeans to fit DS. he has a bunch of different kinds (most have zippers) and we still have issues with length vs. waist. he could wear 12 and 18 month(with a belt) in waist but the 18 are just barely long enough so he will outgrow those soon in length! im telling u that belt loops on jeans are the best if its a waist issue because then u can use a belt. but it sounds like holly's is more of a length issue so i cant help u there but maybe even fold it up to make a basic cuff for now until she grows a lil taller.

  • I'm not sure about the length thing but Kohls has lots of "mock" fly jeans with the elastic waist.  Liam's new winter jeans are a little too long too, so we've just been rolling them up.  Stylish I know :)

  • Have you tried the Carter's outlet? That's where I got DD's jeans and I'm pretty sure they meet your specifications. Although, I don't know about the length! DD's not quite there yet!

  • Not sure about the girls section, but the Old Navy boys jeans have an adjustable waist that has been a huge help for John. He needs the length but has such a skinny waist. They have the real zipper and snap, but even now that he is potty trained he can still just pull them up and down. I never use the actual zipper and snap part. Just pretend it isn't there!
