TTC After a Loss

what would you all do? just curious

so i was given the okay to TTC earlier than what my doc orignially said as some of you may already know (originally told 3 months after d & c but then said it was okay to TTC after asking about trying it earlier and given extra folic acid to take once a day). i have been charting this cycle but have never charted before and don't know the length of my LP. my husband and i are feeling good emotionally about TTC again. i guess my question is did any of you TTC without knowing your LP length? i have no reason to believe that my LP is not the appropriate length except that i know some of you ladies have had that problem and know that if it is not an ideal length it can cause early MC. hope you are all already enjoying the weekend Big Smile

Re: what would you all do? just curious

  • we started to TTCAL before i started really trying- my first charted cycle was anovulatory and the second cycle my LP was 11 days- we are on cycle 3 right now so i am curious to see if my LP stays the same- altho i would really like a BFP and not have to worry about my LP at that point-

  • Go for it!  The only reason knowing your LP will help is that it gives you an idea for when AF would otherwise show up.  Totally not needed to get in some good BDing!  Good luck!

  • My doc told me the second I get a BFP to call him and come in for blood work. If you have a history of loss, I don't see why you can't do that as well.

  • I hope you have a good weekend and have a fun time BDing.  I would go ahead and try and not worry about your lp.  If I am correct, a short lp does not cause a m/c.  If it is too short, you get AF before there is time for implantation so it just doesn't happen.  Try not to stress/obsess too much over your chart even though it can be hard to do.  If you post your chart in your siggy others can look at it and "stalk your chart" and give you ideas what is going on.  HTH
