I feel like I should know what this is by now but I have no clue!!

It's when they take an endometrial sample and use that as part of the culture medium. Back when there were no standards for medium quality, labs used to do this regularly to ensure quality control, but with modern mediums this is not as common. Some clinics find that coculture medium can help with embryo development. It's sort of Cornell's angle and specialty, but I discussed this with my RE and they have done it at my clinic as well, though I'm not sure to what extent or to what result.

So is that why they do the endo biopsy?

Yes, for co-culture, but you can do an endo biopsy for a number of reasons, I had one done after a funny pap. I don't too much about what it can indicate regarding any IF issues, maybe someone on the board can add to that topic (maybe start a new thread?), but something about checking if it is hospitable to embies or something to that effect. I don't really know much about it outside of the funny pap realm or co-culture/Cornell procedure. (I'm in NYC so Cornell is a clinic I've researched.)
