TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Quinoa

Anyone ever make it? How do you cook it? I'm trying to avoid wheat but keep a variety of starches in our diets. Anyone have any pointers?

  • I like it with grilled or roasted, diced up veggies and feta.

    Or cook with chicken broth and fresh dill as a side or throw some grilled chicken in the mix for a meal.

    Also good cooked with some POM juice, walnuts, dried cranberries and green onions.

  • Thank you! I cooked it in chicken stock with garlic and made a garlic chicken stir fry! It was GOOD!

  • Mmmmmm I love quinoa! I like with lots of veggies. When tits done and still hot I toss in chopped spinach so it will wilt but stay green and then top with a poached egg and parmesean cheese.
  • I'm so glad you posted this! I just bought some also. I have been vegetarian for 2 months now and I need some diversity in my meals. These ideas are great

    Yes, I'm trying to be gluten free and this is a starch that meets this criteria. DH even liked it so it's all good! Next to try gluten free pasta... we'll see how that works out.
