Weird things you are excited about?

I am hoping I am not the only one, but is anyone excited about something with this pregnancy that is weird and the are hesitant to tell people?

For example, I can't wait to see what the inside of my belly button looks like (I'm an inny) and I always thought that my belly button hole never ended (I could never find the end with my finger)

Anyone else have something odd/weird they are excited about but are too afraid to share elsewhere?

  • I'm an inny, too but my belly button never popped out.  I mean, it definitely became more shallow (if that is the right word) but I definitely never saw the inside of my belly button.  Who knows?  Maybe you will get that chance. lol!

It's kind of gross, but I was really curious about what the placenta looked like after DD was born.  That thing is HUGE.  I would've never guessed that it was that big.

  • I'm excited about finding a doctor that doesn't like to do episiotomies. Now that I'm moving in a few weeks I have to find a whole new healthcare provider.

I'm also excited about looking pregnant and not just fat. Especially now that I am starting to show just a bit. I look ginormous even though I've lost weight.

Oh and my stomach getting hard. That will be weird. I have a pretty rolly polly flab tummy.

  • I am actually excited about labor and birth. I know it may seem weird but ever since I was a little girl I have always imagined being in labor and giving birth. For some reason that particular stage of pregnancy is very fascinating to me and I can't wait to try it.

  • I'm excited about having a labor that is less than 26 hours.

According to my midwife, statistically, second babies have half or less than half the labor/delivery time.

And DD's reaction to the changes and to see how she adapts to a baby in the house.

Also, seeing how different pregnancy is this time compared to last time.

Not finding out the sex of the baby (hopefully I can hold out!!)

  • I am actually excited about delivery.  I lost alot of blood and had lots of complications and passed out so I missed alot of what happened last time.  I'm anxious to see if this time goes smoother.
