BFF vent

I live in Mass my BFF from high school moved to upstate NY. She is down this week visiting her parents. She posted on FB how she was all excited to come home & see friends etc. I asked if she was free Thursday because it was really the only day I was totally free. She said that would be fine & even though it was supposed to rain we would find something to do. I hadn't heard from her so I waited until 9:30 this morning to text her. I didn't want to wake her or her DD up. I get a text back saying she will call me this afternoon, they are at the Boston Aquarium. That's about 2 1/2 hours from here! My DD needs to nap in the afternoon. I just feel like I got ditched. I don't know, I feel like I'm always the one to bend over backwards for people. If it had been me I either would have called her yesterday & explained or invited her and her DD to come too. DH is working a 16 hour shift today & I'm feeling really sad & lonely now : (
