Beta #4 is in

So it a little more than doubled again.  Back for Beta#5 on Friday.  The nurse said that I'm having the appropriate rise.  When I asked her if she thought the number was low for the days past transfer, she repeated herself - you are having an appropriate rise.  I guess I will take it for what it is and go for my 5th and hopefully final draw on Friday.

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    Thanks for all the well wishes.

    I honestly can't even really be happy or excited.  I'm just plain scared - scared that it is another chemical (although my numbers never rose during the first two chemicals) or ectopic.  As you guys know all too well - infertility sucks!!!!!!!!!

    Things are going good!  I know it's so hard for us IF'ers to let our guard down and think everything's ok.  My RE doesn't even give Beta numbers.  Just says if things are good are not.  This used to bother me a lot, but in a way I think it's good, since you just have to take his word for it, which is all we can do in the end.  T&P this draw come fast and everything is great and then you can be a regular pregnant person!!!!

    Your RE has a good approach.  If I didn't know the numbers I wouldn't be scouring the internet comparing my numbers to others, looking for beta # / ectopic correlations, etc.  You summed it up perfectly - I'm looking forward to being "a regular pregnant person"

    2005-2011= 3 Rounds of Clomid, 5 IUI's, 3 IVF's- ALL BFN's
    After 7yrs TTC, 5yrs of ute cancer, and 11 failed IF treatments, we got a surprise BFP! So thankful!
