TTC After a Loss

If you meditate

How exactly do you go about meditating?  This is our last cycle TTC until next summer, so I want to go all-out, and positive thoughts can't hurt.  My mind is constantly going.  I don't know how to turn that off to focus on something for more than five minutes.  I don't have ADD and my mind is always racing...I can't imagine how it would be for someone with ADD.

  • I have used this cd in the past. I listened to it as I was going to sleep at night. It's kind of hippy-dippy but I did get pregnant that month, so who knows?  I'm all for trying anything as long as it isn't too expensive and I know it can't hurt.  Good luck!

  • I just started last month.  I found a meditation center in my area, which has helped a lot for technique.  I recommend this is possible.  There are probably a bazillion videos on youtube on different types, too, though, if that's easier.  I use a yoga block on my yoga mat when I'm home, though if I had the extra cash, I'd definitely prefer a real meditation set.  My instructor also encouraged me to just start with 5 min and go up from there, so as not to get overwhelmed.  A lot of my meditation these days is in yoga classes, so it's guided.  Do whatever you can to make it work, it really brings me back to earth :)
