Now, DS's poop is pretty plopable so it's easy to just plop it in the toilet. During the first month and a half of solids though, his poop was sort of between a regular breastmilk poop and a solids poop. I'll warn you that it was pretty disgusting. I just would use TP to scrape as much as a could into the toilet at that point. We don't have a diaper sprayer but I wish we did. I never took the pockets out to do anything to them.
We don't have a sprayer We use mostly pockets. I remove the insert and throw into the pail, then get as much poo off over the toilet with a piece of tp to push it along. I'd say these days about half of DD's poops are ploppable, so that's good. The others I rinse off in the bathroom sink (which no one uses for anything else and which I clean every day). Then shell goes into the pail too.
I spray the diapers and toss them in a pail. If they are a fuzzibunz or blueberry pocket, I shake out the insert after I spray the diaper. I have a TL and BG inserts come out in the wash.
We started using flushable liners with solid food and they work well for us. If they are just pee diapers the liners can be washed and reused (we use Imse Vimse). I don't like spraying because of the splash mess. I have only ever taken 2 diapers outside and hosed them off (yes, it was that bad) because of the mush that overflowed the liners. I have never rinsed the inserts.

I am thinking of trying some flushable liners ...
