As I was feeding Ellie in the wee hours of the morning- I started wondering...
1. Do you FF or BF in the middle of the night?
2. How many times do you feed LO after 12 am before 6 am?
3. How long does the feeding/s take?
4. Who does the night feedings?
This is just to fill my curiosity!!
Re: Night Feeding Poll (not clicky)
1) i ff lilly
2) usually once, around 2-3am. sometimes it's twice, if she wakes up earlier like 12-1, and then eats again around 5-6.
3) usually it's pretty quick-- 4 ounces in 10-15 minutes.
4) usually husband makes the bottle while i change the diaper and then i do the feeding.
Andrew has been STTN since about 8 weeks but last week we started transitioning to the crib so he has been waking up occasionally in the middle of the night but not always eating.
1) EBF
2) Most of the time none, but once if he wakes around 5.
3) The early morning feed takes about 20 min. (Other feedings are longer when he's wide awake)
4) I always do the feedings.

1. Do you FF or BF in the middle of the night? EBF
2. How many times do you feed LO after 12 am before 6 am? Usually once- she does stir and requires the paci or something but not a feeding.
3. How long does the feeding/s take? Lately I have been leaving her on as long as she wants- so 45 min
4. Who does the night feedings? ME!
1. bf
2. Twice, usually
3. Depends how hungry she is, usually I am up an hour, after feeding, changing her and keeping her upright because of spitting up
4. I do the feedings if its bf but if she is up after 4 dh will give her a bottle because he gets up early for work.
Avery is STTN now, but when she wasn't -
1. We would FF in the middle of the night
2. Was 2 times, changed to 1 time around 6 weeks old, but she still woudl have some nights where she'd be up at 2 and 5
3. 30-40 minutes. That included 10 minutes of sitting up with her - she has reflux
4. Before I was working I'd do them. Once I went back to work we'd take turns every other night or every other feeding, depending on the night.

1. Do you FF or BF in the middle of the night?
We FF at night.
2. How many times do you feed LO after 12 am before 6 am?
Usually not at all, but sometimes (1-2 times per week) LO wakes up between 3 & 4am so she gets a bottle then.
3. How long does the feeding/s take?
Usually takes 15 minutes to feed, 5 minutes to burp and about 5 minutes to fall back asleep.
4. Who does the night feedings?
I do. When I go back to work DH will be off for Nov. - Dec. so he will do them. Then when we're both at work we will alternate. Since it's only 1-2 times per week it's not that big of a deal.
DD was BFd until she was about 7 months old; then we switched to goat milk (GM) on account of my supply gave out.
1) She drank whatever she drank during the day - so either BM or GM.
2) Oh, it depended greatly. I'd say, until 6 months, more often than not I was feeding her three times a night. We'd put her down at 7 and she'd be up to eat at 11:30, 2 and 5, or something like that. Around 7 months I think we were down to one wake-up most nights. She started STTN at 8.5 months.
3) In the early days, easily 45 minutes for a night feeding. Then as she got older and more consistent, and while my supply was still good, night feedings lasted roughly 20 minutes. When my supply started to give out, we were down to 8 or 10 minutes. GM feedings took about 15 minutes, including time to warm up a bottle.
4) I did the night feedings. DH had to work and I didn't, so it was my job. He helped out sometimes after I was no longer BFing, on the weekends if I was really tired, but I preferred when he slept through, then took her in the morning so I could get a few extra hours.

1. EBF so far
2. For the past week she has BF and gone to bed around 10pm, wakes up once between 3 and 4am, diaper change and BF on one side for 20 min and back to sleep until 7 or 8am. I'm hoping it stays this way!!
3. I'm up with her for about half an hour.

1. Do you FF or BF in the middle of the night?
I EP so he gets a bottle of BM
2. How many times do you feed LO after 12 am before 6 am?
Usually once around midnight and once around 4
3. How long does the feeding/s take?
20-ish minutes but then I have to get up and pump
4. Who does the night feedings?
DH does the first. I do the second.
1. I BF in the middle of the night. Where, oh where, did my good sleeper go?
2. Knock wood - I feed him once b/w 12am-6am
3. Knock wood again - it takes about 40 minutes total, including a diaper change and reswaddling him, but sometimes takes up to 60 minutes
4. I do all the night feedings since I'm the one with the magic buffet on her chest.
2. How many times do you feed LO after 12 am before 6 am? It varies... sometimes he sleep right through, sometimes once, or lately a couple of times... But since he sleeps in the bed with me, I just turn on my side and give him the BBs, so I sleep right through it...
3. How long does the feeding/s take? I have no idea... although there are times that he seems to be on there for a while, so I get up and move so he can get the other boob...
4. Who does the night feedings? Me, but sometimes on the weekends, if I am really engorged, I'll wake up DH to give him a bottle and I'll be pumping.
