Help with carseat!! What do you have?

Question from the 9-12 month board.. I'll be moving up here in a few weeks and it's really slow on that board. Can you ladies please help?

Orion is still in his infant seat... He has just reached the max lengh, 30 inches. So I need to get a new carseat. We don't have a lot of money. I would like to spend less then $100 if possible. But no more the $150. Money is really tight right now and we really can't afford more then that. What carseat do you have? How much was it? Do you recommend it?

I see the Everflo Titan and Tribute are both under $100 at target. Also the Graco Comfort Sport is under $100. Does anyone have any of these?

 Thanks Ladies!

  • We have the Evenflo Symphony 65. It was $199 at BRU, but we had a coupon for 20% off - also, it was worth the extra money because it works RFing, FFing, and then converts into a booster... we'll have it longer and in the long run will spend less money because we won't need to buy different seats in the future. GL!

  • Best convertible car seat value out there is the Cosco Scenera. $45 at Target. Easy to install. Easy to use. Fits well in most cars. And the safest car seat is the ine you will use correctly 100% of the time.

This.  We have the Cosco Scenera in our Cavalier, and I love it.  We also have a Britax Roundabout 50, in our Rav4.  The Britax, believe it or not, was only around $160.00, since we had a 20% off coupon at BabiesRUs.  We're very happy with both of our carseats.

  • We have Evenflo Triump Advance I think (which Im not seeing ont he site, but the others look very similar) in husbands truck, it was reccomended at the time by consumer reports when I was creating my shower registry.  I really like that one, he said it was easy to install and I find it easier to buckle than the Graco MyRide 65 in my car.  Though I still like it, its much cushier which I think for long rides is nice, and I like the two cup holders on the sides for him to use, DS was also excited about them lol...If I didnt use DH's seat ever, I may not complain about the buckle part on mine because its pretty much as annoying as his infant carrier was lol....must be a Graco thing!

  • We have 2 Graco My Ride65 and love them.  It is a little bulky than others but it is a great seat.  My DD can ride in it for a long time either RF or FF and I got mine at BRU with coupons and on sale for under $100.  Gl
  • We have the Graco My Ride 65 and have been very happy with it.  With coupons at Babies R Us, it was right over $100.  It has cupholders, which though it sounds a little silly for a carseat, are VERY helpful for sippy cups, snacks, pacifiers, etc.  It sits up nice and high and is a little bulky, but few carseats aren't!  We've been very happy with it.
  • We have the Evenflo Titan in our car and the Cosco Scenera in my mom's car. Love them both.
