Why can't DD be around me without wanting to BF?

I'm starting to lose it guys. I only BF DD when I get home from work and at night during the week. Once I get home though, and also on the weekends, she literally wants to nurse every 10 minutes. I don't understand why. She's a happy, secure child and gets a lot of love and support from us, her grandparents, and her sitter. I know it isn't for nutritional value since she's almost 27 freaking pounds and it shouldn't be for comfort since she really isn't in any situations that would warrant seeking comfort.

I'm at a loss. I want to wean so badly at least during the day. I can't relax at home because within 10 minutes she comes up to me and starts pulling my shirt while screaming "booby!" Anyone go through anything like this? Any advice on how to stop it?

  • I can't help since DS tries to rip my shirt off as soon as I pick him up from DC but I want him to wait untill bedtime since we are trying to wean him.  So far not much luck unless he cries and I just wait.

  • DD has been the same way the last few weeks.  Before she could care less if she ate during the day just in the morning and before nap and bedtime.  Now she rips my shirt off if she is anywhere near me, I wonder if it just the age or a phase they go through??
