Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

What did you do for goody bags at LO's party?

We have several kids coming ranging from 4 months of age to age 5.  There will likely be about 15-20 kids there besides DD.   What did you do for goody bags?  Did you make them gender and age specific as far as little toys, etc.

How much did you spend?  I don't want to look cheap but I don't really want to spend a fortune on them either.

  • I went super cheap/easy and did little goody bags full of pink and green mixed jelly beans (the colors at DD's party.)  I tied them off with cute little ribbons.

I didn't have the time/energy for anything else.

  • Jackson's will be Halloween themed.  I got each kid a plastic pumpkin pail that I personalized.  I also went to the $ store and got halloween themed baggies and I will put animal crackers, pretzels, and other things they can eat in there.

  • I bought everything at the Dollar Store for the goody bags for our party. For the 6 month olds (2) we did bathtime bubble books and a rubber ducky. For the other kids (6) we did crayons, a coloring book and a puzzle (puzzle was age specific). Then we had two big kids (11 yo & 12 yo) so they got soduku puzzle books, since those were $3 each that's all that was in their bag.

Definitely check the Dollar store, they had a lot of favor things you could do that were in packs of two or four so things work out to .50 or .25 a piece.  HTH

  • I went cheap and easy too. I gave each kid a thing of bubbles and a fun ball toy from the dollar store.
fraternal twin boys born january 2009
  • We did chocolate dipped pretzel rods and Oreo balls shaped like ladybugs.
  • I bought all the items at the Dollar Tree store.  I got a Toy Story sand pail and filled it with plastic army men, a sherriff's badge, a parachute Woody or Buzz, some candy, Toy Story pencil and crayons, Toy Story gummi bears and Toy Story stickers.  For the girls instead of the parachute toys I included a Toy Story jumprope and for the littler kids I put a soft ball.

  • I don't remember how much we spent but I did bubbles, stickers, and the older kids had M&Ms and fruit snacks..the younger kids has graduate fruit snack and then the boys got little army men toys and the girl got these flowery sunglasses. I got everything at target so it was pretty cheap.

  • Everyone got a mini pumpkin with a wooden jungle animal that I tied to it.  It was maybe $1 each.

  • We didn't do any goodie bags. That was cheap for us :). I guess I don't understand why people do them. I am already feeding them food and cake. Thats good enough.
