Has anyone seen it yet? I went over the weekend with my BFF and I thought it was a great movie. It just amazes me that it started at one school and is now all over the world. And just so addicting.

Re: The Social Network
I really liked it too! I wonder how much of it was accurate....
I haven't seen it but where I went to college everyone was using facebook and that's when MySpace was the big thing so I was always confused as to why Facebook *just* sort of got super popular. I guess my school was ahead of its time, lol.
Same here. I remember you had to have an @college email address. I signed up the first day that they added Clemson University many, many moons ago!
I am sure it was "based" on actual events. And to age myself, we didnt have myspace when I was in college.
I thought the movie was really well done. How crazy is it that the twins were played by just one actor??
Also, the race scene shot in tilt-shift was ah-mazing.
I'm so glad everyone liked it! I've heard it is a great movie and am looking forward to seeing it.
David Fincher (the director) is an old family friend... I don't know him, but I know his mother and she said he was really proud of how the movie turned out.
To age myself...we hardly had internet! There were a few computers on campus with Netscape browsers. I only knew a few people who had their own computers.
I was able to sign up with my university alumni email address.
Me too! I got my first email account in college, but it was kind of like "what's this?!" I never used it because it was super slow and you had to key in a million things (no mouses back then!). The phone was way easier than the internet.
