I'm on the hunt for a new diaper bag - my $30 bag from Target is completely worn out...but it lasted 16 months of heavy use, so I can't complain!
I started looking at Petunia Pickle Bottom bags...there are a few bags exclusively sold at potterybarn kids...and I love the Relaxing in Rome style bag. It's the backpack/messenger style bag with the changing pad built into the front (also removable). It seems like a great bag.
Questions - is it worth the money? If you know this particular style - is the "relaxing in rome" a black or dark brown? I can't tell from the website and I couldn't find any additional information on the color.
It's a lot of money for a diaper bag but it's the only thing I carry all the time. so I want to buy a really good quality bag and have it for the years/babies to come.
Re: Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag question
it looks like the boxy backpack I think? I have one & ditto pp, the glazed fabric is great. I really like mine & use it for twins... if it is like the BB, then teh velcro on front is a bit loud & bugs some ppl but I've never had an issue w/ it.
the one you're looking at looks like black to me.
I have a PPB Scout. Its really nice but I have rarely used it. Im not sure if its b/c Im a SAHM or that I didnt like carrying a diaper bag plus a purse.
But if you actually use a diaper bag a lot then I say go for the PPB since they are great quality.
Thanks for the help. It's the glazed finish that a few people mentioned...seems like a great quality and easy to clean. interesting comment about the velcro being loud...that's annoying!
I always use my diaper bag...I have a very small purse that I can throw in any diaper bag. So I never have to carry two bags.
The nearest potterybarn kids is about 45 minutes away...so I'd rather order online, but I was nervous about the color. I definitely want a black bag.
Thanks again!
