Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

My child requires SO little sleep. Ugh

Went to bed at 9 PM, woke up at 6:30, napped for 20 minutes in the car and now he's wide awake. No more napping for today.

DH is out of town for TEN days and this is the busiest work weekend of my entire year (and I work from home).?

?I REALLY could have used a couple hours of down time today. Not to mention he gets SOOOO cranky when he doesn't get enough sleep.?

It's going to be a LOOOOONG afternoon.

Vent over. ?

Re: My child requires SO little sleep. Ugh

  • Sounds like my girls. THose car naps kill me. They'll sleep on a 10 minute ride to Target and that's apparently enough nap for the day.
  • Loading the player...
  • It kills me when I see people who have kids that sleep 12+ hours a night and/or take 3 hour naps. SOOO jealous.?

We put DS to sleep, go to sleep ourselves and he wakes us up in the morning. Add to that days with no naps and I don't understand it. ?

  • Wow I feel for you.  My boys sleep good.. 12 hours at night and take a 1.5 hour nap... wish that was longer though.  BUT there is NO way I could ever work from home.  I don't get 5 minutes to do damn dishes before they are in bed.  Props to you.

  • Yeah, I couldn't work from home, either! I don't know how you do it. Any way you can line up some childcare?
Also, we follow the HSHHC principle that a nap is at least one hour--even if they don't sleep, it's "rest time." Would that help?
