Babies: 6 - 9 Months

So I pooped the bed last night.

You read that right, don't worry. It seems that in addition to this sweet morning sickness, I have come down with Simon's case of uncontrollable diarrhea. In between taking care of teething baby, vomiting and general exhaustion, I now have to fit in fifty million trips to the bathroom to do #2. Anyway, last night I was lying in bed and what I thought to be an innocent toot was actually a nice, wet poop. (I know, it's gross) Yep. Oh yeah. My husband was over the moon at me. Nothing sexier than pooping the bed, too know? And then I go to throw up, and lo and behold, more poop. I'm sure I was a vision. I have to work in a bit, but Simon is already at DC- I took him at 1200 so I could get some rest and so he would have a fun day. My FFFC? From about 930 to 1130 I put him in his crib, shut the door and walked away. I was getting to shaken baby levels with him. I'm so glad he won't remember the two hours I left him alone in his crib so I could vom in peace.

It's okay. It's calming down now. At first though, definitely not fun.

  • Oh no! I hope you feel better.  If you have the option to take him to daycare in the morning, you should to have time to yourself before work.  That way you won't feel bad for not giving him 100% and you can rest, sleep, whatever.  You pay for full time whether he's there or not, I assume.

I was beyond exhausted with PG #2 and had a 5 year old to chase around.  I couldn't imagine dealing with an infant and pregnant!

  • Sounds rough! Hope you feel better soon.

You are really helping my baby fever!

  • I laugh because I know how it feels to poop in bed. I did it once a few years back when I had the flu.... mortifying and I feel I will never live that down.

    Take care of yourself!

  • Oh goodness, I am sorry, that isn't any fun.  I hope you feel better soon.

That happened to me in Wal Mart a couple of years ago.  It was awful.  I had to leave my cart in the middle of the store and take off home.  Embarrassed

  • Oh no Sad

I'm sorry, SB. That's rough. If it's any consolation that happened to me twice while I was in first tri with Lucy. I never thought I'd need to be sitting on the pot and holding the trash can at the same time.

I hope you feel better soon!

It did? Is diarrhea normal then, or just you just get sick twice?

    LOL!

  • Aww! I'm sorry! I must say, I had the stomach flu at 9 months pregnant and the exact same thing happened! You are not alone:)
  • I pooped on my foot once. Embarrassed
    Effing crazy people.
  • Well, that sucks. Please stay hydrated and trying to eat something so you can get what little energy you can for Simon and your new LO.
  • Reminds me of what happened on our honeymoon when we were in the Dominican Republic... Yuck!  That's when you know you love someone though, when they poop the bed and you can laugh about it later.

    ;)

Also... I would've given my left arm to be able to poop in 1st tri... maybe not in the way you're describing... but yeah.

  • SB I love you! I love that you would let us all know you pooped the bed! I am sorry you're not feeling well I hope you get better soon big hugs!

Simon can come stay with me for a while Big Smile

  • Oh, man, SB! That is horrible. I hope you feel better soon! You will definitely new able to laugh at it later. I totally pooped the (hospital) bed when I was in for PTL I
