Baby Names

WDYT Girl...

MaryAnn Riley Liff   or   MaryLou Riley Liff.

The first names are combos of family, mgggm+mggm and mgggm=pgm.

Riley is a name the whole family feel in love with weather a boy or girl.
(I know Riley is popular right now and Im not for popular names I like the names of ancestors past better) The family will most likely call her Riley regaurdless while Mommy may call her both.

Im kind of leaning towards MaryAnn because it's to honor my great grandmother and my grandmother. Also has a hint of Alice in Wonderland...white rabbit "MaryAnn, MaryAnn...!"

If it were a boy it would simply be Warren Everett Liff.

Thanks in advance for any input:)

Re: WDYT Girl...

  • Love Warren Everett...

Double first names are NMS but if I had to pick one I'd go with MaryAnn.

I am not a fan of double names or Riley but I prefer MaryAnn over MaryLou.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of Riley, but do like Mary Ann by itself.

  • Nice names but I prefer it when they are separated by a hyphen, or made into two proper names.

  • Hmmm...

I really like Warren Everett. Warren is such a masculine name, and really underused right now. Great choice!

Honestly, I'm iffy on the girls' names. I'm not a big fan of double names. But I did go to college with a girl named MaryLou and her name suited her perfectly; I just never thought I'd see it as a name someone was considering for a baby.

Since you like MaryAnn, Why not do Marianne? It's also a combination of Mary and Ann, and equally as unique, but the flow of the names is a little more fluid.

Rather than MaryAnn (MARE-ee-AN), you have Marianne (MARE-ee-uhn). It's just a lot softer and prettier, IMO.

  • I adore Warren Everett!

As for your girl names, I much prefer MaryAnn, although I like it spelled Mariann, or Maryann, without the second capital letter.

I like Mary Ann, but either seperately, as in a double name or as an existing name like Marian. I don't like the capitalization in the middle at all. That tells me there should be a space there.

MaryLou is the same...except I think of Mary Lou Retton, the gymnast.

    Riley is nms.

Warren Everett is a great name...two of my favorites combined.

  • Thanks for everyone's input so far. Im still up in the air about the girl names and may have to research more into my family tree, MIL won't give me any female names from her side because she likes the ones we have been talking about.

Im glad everyone feels the same on Warren Everett. It my Grandfather's middle and husbands middle. I feel in love with it and I feel like I have to use it (good thing we've talked about having more if able<3)

I just love mature names for some reason my first son is William Charles (family names)
