Just about had a heart attack

SO went out on a traffic stop and was not answering several status checks over the radio. He also did not answer his nextel (work phone). 4 other Officers were running priority to check on him. The 2 minutes it took someone to get to him felt like an ETERNITY. Then they get to his stop location and his car is there, but he is no where to be seen. Talk about a panic attack. I'm sitting here not able to do a d@mn thing thinking about all the line of duty deaths we have had in our state.

Turns out he was fine (thank God!) and he had thought he cleared himself from the stop, but had forgotten to. Now that my blood pressure has sky rocketed, hopefully the rest of our shift will be uneventful!

I'm a dispatcher, so I can only sit and wonder if he's okay until I hear him over the radio. It does make for some stressful day!

I'm glad he's okay too!
