Of absolutely NO diet soda. This is a big deal, y'all. hehe...
My goal is to make it a month, and then maybe allow myself one per week or something. Actual amount TBA. Or maybe quit them for good...I don't know if I'm willing to commit to that yet. We have decided we're definitely not keeping them at home anymore, whatever I decide.
I've been drinking mostly water, with a couple of cups of herbal (or regular) tea throughout the day. I've still been using some Splenda and stevia, but have been steering clear of aspartame. Not surprisingly, I haven't been having my usual headaches.
Just thought I'd share!
Re: I've survived a week.
Good for you! And isn't it nice not having those pesky headaches....

Good for you! That's a big deal!
I had to quit drinking Diet Pepsi about 10 years ago due to recurrent bladder/kidney infections. I drank 5, 20oz bottles a day!!! That's insane, yo! So I know it's really, really hard. Also, Bif quit drinking coke last year or the year before for New Years and he can't stand the taste of it anymore. He will occasionally drink a regular sprite when he gets tired of Tea (he even cut out sweet tea!!).
Point being, maybe you'll get lucky and after a month off of the stuff it won't taste good to you anymore.
Hooray! Good job on cutting out the diet coke!
I've pretty much cut out drinking anything but my coffee in the morning (1 big mug), but it's because I have to make sure I drink my 64 oz of water each day. I never have been much of a fluids drinker, so when I have to drink that much water every.single.day...I just don't have time for anything else. lol
