I put ds on the floor to get his diapers ect on his change table. I saw him grab a dime. I immediately popped him up on the change table and tried to scoop it out of his hand then mouth. I saw it in the back of his throat so I flipped him over and tried to pat his back to get him to spit it out. Nope. He swallowed it. UGH! So called Poison Control thinking possibility of mental poisoning but thinking they would say relax, it will pass. Nope again. They said it can flip in his esophogus (sp?) and block his airway so we had to head to the ER. By the time we got Xrays it was in his large intestines. I keep checking his diapers but nothing yet, lots of poopy diapers though. Anyways, was an interesting morning
Re: Want to see ds's bones?
Crazy!! I see the dime, tee hee! Thank goodness its going to...um...work itself out. keep us updated on how that goes.
That is so scary! We let DS put coins/cash in his piggy bank and I'm always watching him like a HAWK! He has put the coins to his mouth a time or two and I immediately put his hand down and say "no, no - that's not food"...hoping he understands.
I'm glad he's going to be fine and it will pass.
