Biting own toungue?

LO started biting (well, "gumming") her own toungue for about a week. She sticks it out and off to one side or the other and nom nom noms on it. I'm thinking she's using it as a sort of portable teething toy? Anyone else's LO do this? My LO is 7 months old with no teeth yet, so I'm suspecting one might be on its way.

Haha, mine does this. She folds her tongue back and sucks and chews on it. She has been doing it for at least a month. It seems to soothe her

Nick sucks on his tongue when he's hungry. It's too cute; he stops once he's gotten his meal.

All the time, she loves her tongue lol. It horrifies DH for some reason even though I've assured him she wouldn't do it if it hurt.
