Will daycares take non-regulars??

So we are going to be moving next summer away from all our family and friends.  I dont know what I am gonna do when I need a sitter to get to a drs appt, hair appt, etc until I start meeting people.  Do regular daycares take kids for a few hours here and there even if they dont come "regularly"?

  • Our doesn't,  you have to atleast pay for a whole day, and you have to pay every week.  I know around here, there's a Mothers Day Out program that works that way.

  • Ours does, but you have to pay the half day price, which is just $14.00, no matter if they are there 30 minutes, or 4 hours.

  • I haven't used them yet, but we have a few drop in daycares just for this purpose. They limit how often you can use it so it can't be a full time daycare for your child.

  • Mine doesn't - you might be able to find a SAHM or an in-home daycare person that will do it for you.
