Is everyone else dealing with a huge belly already? I was in excellent shape only 2 weeks ago, and now the bloat is so out of control - I've gained 7 pounds in these 2 weeks. It's so frickin' uncomfortable - like I can't suck my stomach in if I try.
Is there anything we can do to reduce the bloat? I've been drinking tons of water and coconut water to stay hydrated, it doesn't seem to be helping!!
I'm trying not to show for at least 4 more weeks...(I don't want to tell work until after the 1st u/s which is at 10 weeks.
Re: 2nd Timer - "Showing" before 7 wks
I haven't gained any weight, but my stomach is so bloated that it looks the same as it did at 18 weeks last time (which wasn't much, but it was puffy). I just feel fat. I don't think there is anything you can do, but drink water. I drink, eat healthy and work out 5 days a week and it isn't helping.
I'm going to a wedding in two weeks and I think it's going to be obvious.
I have gained weight and am extremely bloated too. No such thing as sucking my stomach in mostly because I have these uncomfortable abdominal pains from slight pressure from my 7lbs dog on my lap to coughing.
I don't plan on telling my job until after week 12 or so. My bump must get much bigger than this bloating before I spill the beans.
I have no words of wisdom. As of Monday, none of my work pants would button, so I've been using my bella band and wearing dresses when possible. I've only gained 2 lbs, but the bloat is much worse... I've been able to button these same clothes when I was 5lbs heavier than I am now
I'm on gap.com now - I can't believe I'm actually ordering maternity pants at less than 7 weeks pregnant.
I'm still not planning to tell until after our next appointment on October 27th. I will be about 10 weeks along.
I am so glad I found this post. I have been a little astounded at by belly at only 6 weeks along. I am eating well and drinking water like it's my job right now and can not for the life of me button my pants. I easily look three months along. Thank heavens for the belly band! I trying my best to embrace it, we after all are "second timers".
Chin up ladies, we are all beautiful!
Well said Gwen 75. We are beautiful, let's embrace the enormity of our midsections!!! We're not getting any smaller for a really long time!!!
I've been having trouble buttoning up my pants already and I'm only at 6 weeks. By the end of the day I can't wait to get home to change into sweats. I'm glad I'm not alone
Pregnancy # 6
4 missed chances
2 loving children
1 on the way
I went out at about 7 wks to get maternity jeans. They don't fit just yet, but I couldn't find the jeans I love in a bigger size. I'm so bloated out that there's no way I can suck it all in. DH tells me not to, but I'm just feeling fat right now. Glad to know I'm not the only one.
(And, While I was in Motherhood, there were 2 other girls who were in there shopping at 6 and 8 wks, so I know we're not alone in this one! lol)
