Another BLW Question

Hi gals - I posted over here the other day asking if it was ok that my LO was merely sucking on the food we were giving her...

Well now she's gnawing off chunks and I'm scared to death all of a sudden.  The book makes BLW sound so easy, but then watching my 6-month old bite off chunks now that she's figured this out is making me VERY nervous.

Any advice?  I mean, I'm pulling food out of her mouth and not allowing her to truly go for it - I keep interfering, I'm so afraid.  What should I do?  Move onto purees or keep going?

TIA!!

It's like a pacifier with a little net that you put food into.
I don't know how I feel about it, or if I'd use it, but I know she loves it.

  •  My DH was worried about DS at first when he would gag but once he learned the gag reflex is further forward in a smaller baby and that him gagging actually meant he WASN'T choking, he became more comfortable with it.  We keep a close watch on DS but we let him do his own thing.  He knows how to spit out pieces of food if he gags on them.  Overall, you need to do what is best for you and your child. Good Luck!
