I eat mostly clean, of course it's harder now that I am pg and craving things like Baked Cheetos. No, I didn't buy a special cookbook, but if you are typically cooking unclean meals and aren't familiar with it, then yes, you can buy a cookbook. I bought the Eat-Clean diet book a while ago when it was on sale for $5.00 and free shipping. It has some good information as well as some recipes. I have never been one to get a lot of processed things so it hasn't been a big change for me. I actually just wrote a post on this in my blog last night. Check it out.
I follow it with only a little deviation. I bought Tosca Reno's Eat-Clean Diet Recharged, and thought it was really useful and provided good meal suggestions. It wasn't too difficult to adapt to, but we had already been eating very little processed/junk food already.
We do it using the Eat Clean Cookbook and the Eat Clean for Families but are not obsessed with it. I have made changes to our lifestyle and am trying to buy more clean items but we do eat out and splurge. I don't eat as much as they recommend (5 times a day) every day because some days I am just not hungry. That said I have lost about 40lbs since giving birth.
I want to get a subscription to the magazine to add variety to our meals. Starting out it was a little expensive but now that I have the ingredients I am not spending as much on groceries and we have a lot of leftovers to eat. The recipes are full of flavor and for the most part have been good. They are a little work, chopping, prepping, etc.
DH does pack a cooler everyday and takes it with him. I am a SAHM so I don't have to worry about the cooler.
