Well, I got an email about a temp to possible perm spot. I'm not sure I'm going to get it but it got me thinking about child care. DH and I did do homework on various childcare options and I have some ideas but did not act on them because I have not even got an offer. I have been looking a long time. Thing is - I have a friend from HS who has 3 kids in school and she she told me her and her husband need more $$$ and she was looking to go back to work part time. If I could incorporate her and someone else that would be good. I just have to act fast. Would you only ask if when I get an actual offer?
I would let her know you are waiting to hear back about a job and ask if she would be willing to watch your baby. That way she knows you are interested but if you don't get the job she understands.
